Well it's been ages since I posted anything...and I wish I could tell you all something exciting...but alas I cannot.
I've really not been out and about that much...well I did get to see Harry Potter I suppose which was great....but I have a gammy knee at the moment...on account of me walking into an excercise machine .....well tripping over one is more like it * Cue Mr Bean Music* ....ha ha .....

I heard something "pop" in my knee  and I remember thinking " oooooh this is not good "

So eversince then I've been in agony  ~blah ....gotta go for more tests  yada yada yada .."it sucks" and all that ....so I've been pretty much collapsing at the end of the day ...mentally I wanna go party ...but due to my "Mr Bean experience " I've been pretty much confined to walking down the stairs like a hermit crab (sideways) ...screeching everytime I try to sit on the couch ...the loo .....anywhere where I have to bend my knee's....I have to shower ..so no nice tub soaks for me ~blah .....so I'm  standing most of the day basically ....and my second job is working with a lady with a walker  ....so I'm trying to help her walk and I'm limping alongside her ...it's like the blind leading the blind ...lol..it's laughably sad....ok I know thats not a phrase ...but It's MY phrase at the moment ....laughably sad ...laughably pathetic ( same thing) ...ha ha ...

Oh handsome prince where are you  to feed me grapes and tend to my every whim in my hour of need ?

Oh ~scrap the grapes .....  I want Pizza  and Poetry

Mayhem Incorporated~or~The Cones Are Out And About

So today the Stampede started, and we have a gazillion people in the city (as if traffic was'nt bad enough ).... Crazy out of towners trying to speed , confused about where they are going,and to add to that road construction EVERYWHERE  ~ Now call me crazy...but you would think the city would put the road construction on hold , just for the 10 days of stampede...but oh no ...that would be too simple...we only have about an extra million visitors /tourisits during this time...and to add to that all the hundreds of thousands of people that have moved into the province in the last couple of years from other provinces to add to the chaos..but do the city officials take that into consideration ?? yeah sure they do *Snorts*

So every day the workers merrily set out their lil orange cones for the day...some of them even put an orange suiit on (bless em) and hold up stop and go signs all day ...and  an over abundance of  bad driving ensues , dodging in and out of traffic ..no signalling....cutting other drivers off.... incorrect merging..speeding..and of course lots of red faces and I dunno people seem to have problems with their middle fingers , because I see them in-explainably shooting up all over the place  

But the stampede is here and good times for the next 10 days ...the stampede parade was great this morning,YEHAW  YAHOO....ok I'll get that outta my system right now ...(since I'll hear it in abundance over the next 10 days ..lol) 

Personally I'm looking forward to the coca cola stage over the next week or so ....I'm bummed that I didnt win Hedley tickets ~they are doing a private Radio Party  on Sunday , and You have to win to get in...the radio station was handing out Hedley tix willy nilly at the Parade today, but since I had to work and couldn;t go down there ( had to watch the parade on TV) then all the tickets for Hedley are gone ...Ive tried calling in to the station whenthey've played a Hedley song to win Tickets ~ but I guess my speed dial isnt working fast enough .....anyways check out the program for the coca cola stage  next week ..

(I'm going to see GC and probably Blue October...and 3 days Grace) ..anyways check it out

My brain has left the building

Ok I'm really not sure what to write here, I just arrived home after a almost 15 hour workday ~Crikey !!...I.m beat...so who knows what gobble-de-gook you'll get out of me tonight

Gwen Steffani is doing a concert here tonight.....along with Akkon (yukkers) and Lady Sovereign ( she 's British ...so it's the Rules that I gotta send Kudos out to her ( whether she's crap or not ...lol ) ....I would have loved to have gone to the concert, but I must pay bills ..I bet it would have been magic tho .....I love GS... there's been a load of concerts I've missed in the last couple of months because of the cashflow problem....it's been a brilliant year for concerts ~I must say..I've been  to see George and Eva Avila  so far this year ( they were great)...but I so wanted to see... The Killers ..My Chemical Romance....John Mayer....Gwen Steffani...Josh Groben....and a ton of others...there is still to come ..Nikleback....JT.....Hilary Duff ( I've seen her before so I don't mind missing her) Kelly Clarkson ....I would love to see but I'm sure the tix will be gone by the time I get to Ticketmaster...Like I say ...a brilliant year for concerts ..and Blah Blah Blah on having no money

There's a few freebies ...well almost freebies coming up in July with the stampede coming to town ( it's $12 gate admission (well it was last year ...lol ) and there are a ton of groups coming....this year I'll try and see Good Charlotte...so it's worth the gate admission price ..Hinder are coming....I WON'T go see them .....that song "Lips of an Angel"  annoys the Dickens outta me .....just Grrrr @ the lyrics "My girls in the next room ..sometimes I wish she was you "....and ...."she dosent have a clue "....etc etc .....what a ratbag....cheating no good  grrrrr ggrrrr ...lol yeah thats the effect that song has on me ....the melody is nice ..so is the voice ..it's the Lyrics that drives me nuts ...(.don't get me started on the Hinder song.  ).....Crikey I can't remember who else is coming this year..but in the past few years I've seen some brilliant artists for a $12 admission ticket....to name a few ...Nelly Furtado.....Simple Plan....Hedley....Kalan Porter...... Avrils hubbys band (whose name escapes me... and it will drive me nuts as I'm drifting off to sleep trying to think of it   ) oh and a ton of others ....the brilliant thing about this Venue is ...whoever is performing has no choice but to walk through the crowds to get out of the grounds .....no underground tunnels here...lol..so consequently  you get to meet all the artists anyways ....I have met all of the above (except Nelly F....think it was raining bad and I scooted out there before she came out )...had some nice convos with alot of them  Hedley...SP....oh a bunch ...but THIS Year I have a digital camara ...so I will get decent photo's too ...lol.....

Well ... my brain has left the building awhile back   so I'll say goodnight....and I can see Derek Whibleys  face in my brain..but can the self same brain think of his darn groups name ??? ..Nope ...nada ..not likely ........*goe's to bed muttering.....WTHeck IS their name *

Bah Humbug ~ LOL

Well ~ I just got back from Christmas shopping ...Crikey  what a fiasco that was !!!!

Wandering around a shop ...aimlessly..mindlessley.....Y'know ... The old *Mall Daze* that hits you when you've been wandering around a couple of hours and you find yourself back in the same store looking at the same rack of clothes

So there I was deciding for the 2nd time whether I should buy the item or not , when all of a sudden the decision was made for me ...lo and below there was a power outage ...and all the lights in the mall went out ....oh great ..I had at least a couple of more hours to go ....but hey ~now I HAD to go home..  lol ~Good thing really , because it was minus 25 degrees outside and it was time to get outta there  ..and get my jammies on ...get a warm drink ...and crank the heat up in my house ...

So here I am , all snuggly buggly in my home , and my pockets a lil lighter..but darn I wanted to spend more ...drats......he he he ~ahhh well I'm sure I'll find even more "Bargains " next week ....I'll tell you something though..the sales clerk looked at me as if I was nuts when I requested "do you have any sandals " ? (minus 25 degree's and she want's sandals ??  aye aye aye ) ..but I got some nice light blue Crocs ...so the day wasnt totally wasted
